Carved Chopsticks and Forged Bowl. This class is a two hour course starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm.

Class Description
Elevate your tableware.
In this immersive two-hour workshop, you will bridge the gap between the forge and the woodshop to create a stunning, custom serving set of chopsticks, a chopstick rest and a forged bowl.
Walk away with a complete, handmade set ready for your dining table. No previous experience in metal or woodworking is required.
What You'll Learn
Half the session is dedicated to the heat of the forge. You will learn introductory blacksmithing techniques. Heating steel to a workable glow and using hammers and swage blocks . Shape a rustic, durable metal dipping bowl perfectly sized for soy sauce or wasabi.
For the second half, we slow down the pace. You will select wooden blanks and learn the meditative art of hand-carving. Using specialized knives and planes, you will shape, smooth, and finish a pair of custom chopsticks tailored to your grip.
Requirements
This class is designed with the beginner in mind. There is no expectation of knowledge about knife making or about tools beforehand.
Please wear sturdy work clothes to this course. All other equipment and protective wear will be provided
